Data Deletion Instructions

At Danshuwasub, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to request deletion of your account and associated personal information.
What Data Can Be Deleted
Upon successful verification and request, we will delete:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- Profile information and preferences
- Transaction history (subject to legal retention below)
- KYC documents and verification data
- Login logs and IP address records (except last 30 days for security audit)
- Support ticket history
What Data We Must Retain (Legal & Security)
Due to regulatory requirements, we cannot delete the following:
- Financial transaction records: 5 years (tax and anti-money laundering compliance)
- Fraud investigation records: 2 years from case closure
- Pending chargeback or dispute data: Until resolution + 6 months
- Security audit logs: 30 days (including login attempts)
Step-by-Step Data Deletion Process
Step 1: Verify Your Eligibility
You may request data deletion if:
- You are the account owner (verified via email/phone)
- Your account has no pending transactions or negative balance
- There are no active disputes or investigations against your account
- You have withdrawn all remaining wallet balance (minimum withdrawal: $1)
Step 2: Prepare Necessary Information
Before requesting deletion, gather:
- Your registered email address
- Your registered phone number
- Last 4 digits of your last transaction reference
- A brief reason for deletion (optional)
Step 3: Choose Deletion Method
Option A: Automatic In-App Deletion (Recommended)
- Log into your Danshuwasub account
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
- Confirm your password
- Click "Request Account Deletion"
- Your Account Will Be Deleted Within The Period Of 14 Days.
Option B: Email Request
Send an email to: support@danshuwasub.com
Use the following template:
Body:
Dear Danshuwasub Privacy Team,
I hereby request the permanent deletion of my personal data associated with the following account:
- Full Name: [Your Name]
- Registered Email: [Your Email]
- Registered Phone: [Your Phone]
- Last Transaction ID: [Optional but speeds verification]
I understand that this action is irreversible and that financial records may be retained as required by law.
Please confirm receipt and process my request.

Step 4: Verification Process
After your request, we will:
- Send a verification code to your registered email/phone within 24 hours
- Require you to confirm your identity using the code
- Process requests within 7 business days of verification
- Send a final confirmation when deletion is complete
Step 5: Post-Deletion Status
After successful deletion:
- Your account will be immediately locked
- You will be logged out of all devices
- Personal data will be permanently removed from production systems
- Backups containing your data will be purged within 30 days
- You cannot create a new account with the same email for 90 days (security measure)

Revoking a Deletion Request
If you change your mind before deletion is complete, email support@danshuwasub.com with "CANCEL DELETION - [Your Email]" in the subject line within 48 hours of your request.
Data Deletion for Inactive Accounts
Accounts inactive for more than 2 years (no login, no transactions) may be automatically deleted. We will send 3 reminder emails (30 days, 7 days, and 1 day before deletion).
Special Cases
- Deceased User: Family member can submit a deletion request with death certificate
- Unable to Access Account: Use the "Forgot Password" feature or contact support for identity verification
